THIS BEAUTY ACTUALLY CAME OUT IN NEAR MINT CONDITION, WITH ONLY THE CENTER SECONDS WHEEL–
WHICH IS THE WRONG MODEL– REQUIRING BRUSH PAINTING TO MATCH THE DIAL
THE CORRECT SECONDS WHEEL IS THE HIGH RAISED VERSION WITH THINNER MOUNTING TUBE
PATRON SHIPPED THE STAR SECONDS WHEEL SEVERAL DAYS AGO. THOUGH NOT THE PROPER
ONE WITH HIGH CENTER STAR AND THINNER SHAFT TUBE. I CUSTOMIZED TO FIT BY
THINNING THE TUBE. ABOVE ARE TWO MINUTE WHEELS. THE LEFT DOES NOT FIT THIS MODEL.
IT HAS WIDER OPENING FOR A DIFFERENT BAH MOVEMENT. THE ONE ON RIGHT IS THE
PROPER MINUTE WHEEL INSTALLED. BUT IT HAS AN OPENING THAT IS ALMOST
1/3 RD SMALLER — THOUGH I MANAGED TO CUSTOMIZE THE SECONDS WHEEL FIT.
THE PATRON SENT4 JUMP HOUR WHEEL DIALS. TWO HAD THE JUMP GEARS ATTACHED AND
TWO NONE. AS EXPLAINED DURING 1ST WEEK WHEN WATCH AND PARTS WERE INSPECTED,
THE PROPER ONE WAS THE ONE WITH COPPER GEAR. BUT,IT WAS, LIKE MOST PARTS PROVIDED,
PREVIOUSLY “FIXED” OR “REPAIRED” OR “JURY RIGGED” PARTS. REPAIRED THE WRONG WAY,
IT’S NUMBERS DID NOT LAND BETWEEN THE HOUR DIAL WINDOW AND NONE OF THE OTHER DIALS
WERE IN GOOD ENOUGH CONDITION TO USE. THE FACT WAS THE OFFSET COPPER GEARED DISC
WAS ONCE SET WITH AN EPOXY. THAT WAS USED IN THE PAST TO
“FIX” IT. THE JUMP HOUR DISC’S WERE DAMAGED OR POORLY REPAIRED.
THE WATCH SENT WAS NOT A “COMPLETE” WATCH. MOVEMENT PARTS,THE
TWO PIECE STEM, PROPER WHEELS, THE JUMP HOUR WHEEL –AS EXPLAINED, THE SECONDS
WHEELS AND BALANCE-COCK/BALANCE ASSEMBLY ALL WERE REQUIRING PARTS IN ADDITION TO LABOR.
USING PARTS FROM THREE MOVEMENTS AND A SHIMMING
OF THE BRIDGE COCK WITH INDUSTRIAL EPOXY I GOT IT RUNNING.
IT WAS THEN DISCOVERED THE LACK OF A TWO PART STEM, AND SEVERAL CASE ISSUES
MEANT THE MOVEMENT WOULD NOT SEAT PROPERLY. THE STEM WAS SUPPOSED TO BE
TWO PIECE AFTER.,INVESTING IN TWO– ONE NEW THE OTHER USED. DID NOT WORK.
I EVENTUALLY WORKED THE CASE AND GOT THE SINGLE PIECE T
THEN THE RESTORATION OF THE DIAL WAS REQUESTED. READ THE PROGRAM,
75.00 IS BASE. THOUGH THIS DIAL WAS MOSTLY HAND ACCOMPLISHED
RATHER THAN PLATES, WE CHARGED THE BASIC 75.00
THIS IS NEAR MINT EVEN WITH THE WRONG CENTER WHEEL
A- A CENTER SECONDS WHEEL WAS SENT. IT REQUIRES PAINT. AS FAR
AS POSITION, I GOT HER TO FIT– BUT SHE IS THE WRONG ONE. VARIOUS MODELS ARE ACTUALLY DIFFERENT.
THIS ONE IS INCORRECT FOR THIS MODEL. IT TOOK SEVERAL HOURS TO FILE DOWN
THE SIDES OF THE TUBE THAT WAS TOO WIDE TO FIT INTO THE DARK HOLE WITH STAFF YOU SEE ABOVE.
NOTE THAT THE CENTER WHEEL STAFF/PINION DOES NOT RISE OVER THE MINUTE DISC CENTER.
I GOT IT TO FIT AND WORK..
THE CENTER WHEEL ABOVE HAS A HUMONGOUS GOLD STAR COMPARED WITH THE
ONE SENT. THESE WERE MADE FOR THE MODELS WITH FLUSH CENTER WHEEL STAFF PINIONS.
WHEN POSITIONED THE CENTER STAR RISES ABOVE THE DIAL WITH STAR LINES MEETING THE DIAL LINES.
THE ONE SENT IS NEARLY FLAT/ I MAY TRY SANDING TWO OF THESE TO MAKE ONE……
B-NONE OF THE “EXTRA” HOUR WHEELS WERE
CORRECT. ONLY THE HOUR WHEEL TO THE LEFT —-
—-CAN YOU CAN SEE STAINING ON IT? SOME ONE IN THE PAST REMOVED THE DIAL
DISC FROM THE GEAR ON THE BACK THEN EPOXIED IT BACK TOGETHER DURING A ?REPAIR?.
IT IS OFF CENTER. JUMPS BETWEEN THE NUMBERS. THUS IN THE WINDOW OF THE DIAL THE NUMBERS
ARE NEVER CENTER. THE PROBLEM WAS MOST PARTS HAD BEEN REMOVED FROM OTHER WATCHES DUE TO PROBLEMS.

WE LAY THE INNER [DIAL] HOLD BEZEL?
WE NOTE THAT THE HOUR DIAL RING AFTER HOURS AND HOURS OF WORK
STILL SETS OFF CENTER. THERE ARE TWO DIALS WITH “**STAR” WHEELS
ONLY ONE HAS THE CORRECT SIZE STAR WHEEL
IT WAS REPAIRED AND TO REMOVER THE OUTER DIAL FROM THE
CENTER PIECE COULD MEAN BREAKAGE
*NOT THE SECONDS STAR WHEEL
NOTE THE STAINING
THAT IS A POOR REPAIR THE EPOXY OR WHATEVER WAS UTILIZED TRANSFERRED
THE COPPER CENTER PIECE IS THE STAR WHEEL ON BACK
TO REMOVE THE DIAL FROM THIS CENTER PIECE, DUE TO PRIOR USE OF EPOXY
WOULD DAMAGE THE HOUR WHEEL.
WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIGURE HOW TO GET THE HOUR WHEEL
TO POSITION AT 12 AND 3. AS IN NUMBERS CENTER AT 12 POS
THE WHEEL WAS GLUED TO THE STAR WHEEL/GEAR ON BACK THAT
ACTUALLY TURNS THE HOUR WHEEL. IF IT WERE NOT ALREADY PLACED AS IT IS
PLACING THE WHEEL ON THE CANON PINION, ROTATING WITH CROWN UNTIL IT CLICKED
TO NEXT NUMBER, THEN PLACING A SLOW DRY JEWELERS CEMENT
AND DROPPING THE HOUR WHEEL POSITIONED CORRECTLY WOULD ELIMINATE THE PROBLEM
NOTE HOW FAR OFF THE DIAL IS ABOVE
THE INNER DIAL HOLD RING OR BEZEL TURNS THE DIAL SO POSITION
CAN BE MODIFIED SO IT IS NOT A LOSING PROPOSITION
WE HAVE THE MOVEMENT FITTING
WE FIT THE DIAL HOLD BEZEL
WE PLACED THE ORIGINAL FACTORY CRYSTAL
[THIS IS A SPECIAL CRYSTAL]
THE BEZEL [CASE BEZEL WITH LUGS] FITS PROPERLY
WE PLACE THE WHITE DIAL
WE ALSO INSTALLED CROWN WHICH OPERATES PROPERLY
THE RESTORED GOLD BEZEL WILL BE UTILIZED AFTER WE ARE SURE ALL
PARTS OPERATE PROPERLY WITH THE CASE CLOSED AND WHEELS ARE INSTALLED
ALL THE PARTS FIT AS FAR AS CASE BEZEL MOVEMENT DIAL
ON CASE BEZEL RESTORE WITH A GOLD FILLED BEZEL

AREA CANNOT BE REPAIRED. THE POSITION OF DIAL IS SET BY MOVING THE HOLD BEZEL
