NIVREL
In 1936, the Marvin company created the NIVREL brandname in the Swiss Jura. nivrel produced chronographs and military grade. After the war NIVEL continiued to produce watches with unconventional date displays until the 1970's, when the quartz put the brand out of business..

In 1993, German businessman and goldsmith Gerd Hofer, allready the distributor of Revue Thommen (1989) and Kelek (1992), wanted to create his own watch line by reviving and old swiss brand. He called the Fédération de l'Industrie Horlogère Suisse and purchased the NIVREL watch brand.
