FIRST REPAIR
SET BRIDGE, CROWN WHEEL AND STEM REPLACED
WITH ONE FROM ANOTHER MOVEMENT
EVERYTHING WAS FINE

THERE WAS NO BREAKS OR SYMPTOMS
WHEN REPAIRED, THE SPRING WORKED
THE WATCH SET AND WOUND

THEN IT STOPPED WORKING

WHY?

IMG_0823.JPG (146480 bytes)

TEAR DOWN AGAIN

IMG_0825.JPG (160716 bytes)

MOVEMENT WAS PERFECT.
WORKS PERFECT AFTER WINDING BY HAND
LIKE BEFORE

THE SPRING LEVER THAT MOVES THE CLUTCH WHEEL

[CLUTCH WINDS WHEN CROWN PUSHED IN AND SETS TIME WHEN PULLED]

IMG_0830.JPG (103255 bytes)

ABOVE IS A CLUTCH WHEEL LIKE YOURS
NOTE TEETH ON BOTH ENDS

WHEN YOU PULL CROWN IT PUSHES TO LEFT
SLIDING THE TEETH OF CLUTCH WHEEL INTO CENTER WHEEL TO SET TIME

WHEN YOU PUSH CROWN IN IT RETURNS THE CLUTCH TO THE CROWN WHEEL SIDE ALLOWS WINDING

THE L SHAPE PIECE ACTS AS A SPRING & CONTROLLER
KEEPING THE CLUTCH WHEEL AGAINST THE CROWN PINION FOR WINDING
UNTIL YOU PULL CROWN OUT

IMG_0829.JPG (99101 bytes)

ON YOUR MOVEMENT IT IS NOT "L" IT IS STRAIGHT

IMG_0838.JPG (123019 bytes)

HERE I AM PUSHING THE SPRING WITH DRIVER
LET GO OF DRIVER AND THE CLUTCH WILL SNAP
TO THE UPPER LEFT AGAINST THE WINDING CROWN PINION

IMG_0836.JPG (135097 bytes)

THIS IS A SIMILAR MOVEMENT W/O ALARM

CLUTCH IN CENTER

WHEN STEM IS PUSHED IN, THE TEETH AT TOP OF CLUTCH {BOTTOM RED}
STAY CONNECTED TO CROWN PINION {TOP RED}
ALLOWING THE WINDING OF MAIN SPRING

THE BLUE ON OPPOSITE END ARE THE TEETH ON CLUTCH THAT WHEN CROWN IS PULLED
IT CONNECTS WITH A WHEEL DARK GREEN CIRCLE TO SET TIME
(WHEN PUT TOGETHER GREEN CIRCL;E IS ACTUALLY A WHEEL WITH TEETH])

THE BRIGHT GREEN SQUARE IS THE PART/SPRING LEVER THAT BROKE

THE SPRING LEVER IS THE PART THAT MOVES AND HOLDSTHE CLUTCH
ITS SPRING ACTION KEEPS THE CLUTCH AGAINST TOP RED CROWN PINION WHEN CROWN SEATED

THE YELLOW ITEM IS ONE OF THE ITEMS, THE NEW-USED SET BRIDGE THAT WE REPLACED
NOTE IT IS WHAT HOLDS STEM IN AND IS THE PART THAT PUSHES THE BRIGHT
GREEN MARKED SPRING AGAINST THE SETTING WHEELS WHEN CROWN IS PULLED

AND THEN RETURNS IT TO WINDING POSITION WHEN CROWN IS SEATED

THE SPRING BROKE AFTER THE NEW PARTS WERE INSTALLED
IT WILL NO LONGER HOLD THE CLUTCH TO WINDING CROWN PINION
