| And then there is the fact that it is often difficult to discover a qualified watch repair person. I would find myself paying high prices for substandard work. It would take several dozen pages to inform you of my journey to restoring my own watches. Yet, even though I can work on watches, I find it necessary to know others who repair watches. | ||||||

In today's world of the internet super-highway, a watch collector - aficionado could be led to believe it is a simple task to discover a watch collector or repair professional in their neighborhood. With all the online watch forums, watch web-stores, watch auction sites, watch lists and other such websites, it is simple to find what you need.. RIGHT? The simple fact is, there are thousands of watch bands, links, crystals and other simple watch parts crowding the recesses of thousands of drawers, in thousands of homes, in every state of our good OL'' USA -- all non fitting crash and burns from that super-highway I was talking about.. |

| What do you do when you invest $20.00 for that crystal you got off that auction site from an individual in the Philippines and find it does not fit. Do you send it back? ... NOT! Imagine, all those parts that were ordered that didn't FIT!!! 'Man, I bet one of them is that glass Hilton Crystal that...' Excuse me, did not mean to lose track. But I was thinking about a part I need and know someone must have it. Yea, in some recess in some drawer in some home... OK, so you are asking me what is this all about, let me tell you. |

I began utilizing the internet in 1993 and watched it
grow. I invested in watches and parts off the internet. When I decided to open a shop, I
searched the internet for an organization that would complement my hobby and business. What I discovered was the the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC). The NAWCC is the a 65 year old organization dedicated to Watch and Clock Collectors world wide. With over 175 chapters it is the largest organization of it's kind. The NAWCC has a museum. |
