ON THIS BIKE THE REAR TIRE (169.00 ) WILL WEAR OUT EVERY  6000 MILES TO 8000 MILES
FRONT TIRES LAST LONGER, THE -WHITE WALLS ARE  FOR 169 FOR REAR AND 149 FOR FRONT.

WHILE SHE  RUNS BETTER, FASTER, QUICKER  AND HANDLES  BETTER THAN FACTORY LAYOUT
WE KEPT MOST OF THE ORIGINAL PARTS, INCLUDING CATYL;ITIC CONVERTERS/ WHICH HAD 500 MILES
ON THEM BEFORE THEY WERE REMOVED

THEY ARE TWO YEARS OLD GARAGE KEPT

ROCK BUILT 25 OLD FASHIONED CHOPPERS. . HIS BEST WERE A
1970 HARLEY CHOPPER AND A 1968 TRIUMPH CHOPPER

ON THIS BIKE HE INSTALLED  DROP BARS TO LOWER THE BIKE  BY 5 INCHES
THIS CAUSES  FIRM TRACKING WITH REAR TIRE IN "TOUCH" WITH ROAD
TURNS AND MANEUVERS ARE CLEANER
THE  RIDE IS FANTASTIC EVEN WITH AN ADULT ON BACK SISSY SEAT.

THE FRONT AND REAR WHITE WALL TIRES WERE PLACED ON BIKE 5 YEARS AGO,
DUE  TO THE DESIRE OF THE LOOK OF THE  WHITE WALLS--
THE REAR IS READY FOR CHANGE AFTER 6800 TOTAL MILES AND  THE FRONT REMAINS   EXCELLENT.
THE REAR ALWAYS WEARS FASTER THAN FRONT

MOST OF  THE PARTS REMOVED WHEN UPGRADING ARE YOURS.

THE FACTORY CLUTCH SYSTEM WAS SOLD TO A FRIEND. THE STARTER CLUTCH WE HAVE BUT IS NOT WORTHY OF KEEPING
AS STATED  MOST OTHER PARTS SUCH AS THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER/MUFFLERS GO WITH BIKE
THE LABOR FOR ALL THE WORK CAN EASILY ADD AN ADDITIONAL 4000.00 TO THE COST OF THE CUSTOMIZATION.

THIS BEAUTY HAS BEEN GARAGED. ONLY 8500 MILES SINCE 2007. EASY MILES AT THAT.
ONE TO TWO OIL CHANGES EVERY YEAR. A LIFT, STAND, TENDER, NEW OLD PARTS,

THE ONLY ITEM THAT  SHOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED A FACTORY DEFECT AND REPLACED BY YAMAHA, .
IS THE STARTER  CLUTCH. WITH COSTS RANGE FROM 750.00 TO 1400.00 FOR PARTS AND LABOR
ROCK DECIDED LAST YEAR TO REPLACE HIS WHEN THE STARTER STARTED ACTING UP WITH ONLY 8000 MILES ON BIKE
HE DECIDED  TO UPGRADE THE CLUTCH PLATES PRESSURE PLATE, SPRINGS AND THE STARTER CORE. AT THE SAME TIME
THIS WORK WAS ACCOMPLISHED LAST SEASON BEFORE ROCK WAS INFORMED HE HAD TO STOP RIDING
AND OTHER EXCERTIONS THAT INVOLVED HIS KNEES AND ANKLES. SO THE PRICE ASKED  IS MORE THAN FAIR

THE STARTER CLUTCH IS A COSTLY UPGRADE THAT SHOULD HAVE MEANT A RECALL.
V STAR BIKES  FROM 1999 TO 2009 HAD AN ORIGINAL OEM STARTER CLUTCH  THAT WAS SO POORLY DESIGNED
IT EFFECTED ALMOST EVERY V STAR OWNER. ROCK BEING EXPERIENCED AND THIS BEING THE 40TH BIKE HE CUSTOMIZED
WENT AHEAD AND PURCHASED THE NEW DESIGN PARTS, ALONG WITH OTHER UPGRADES,  AND INSTALLED THEM

APP 1100.00 FOR PARTS WAS SPENT AND DUE TO  THE FACT THIS UPGRADE IS INTENSIVE AND INVASIVE
ROCK WENT AHEAD AND UPGRADED SEVERAL OTHER ITEMS .
